  1. Reading messages
  2. ----------------

  4.   After activating the message-read command, you will be first shown the
  5. message in the base where your lastread pointer is set to. At the bottom of
  6. the screen, a small prompt line will be shown which will give you the
  7. following options:

  10.     Next- Attempt to go to the next message in the base. If possible, the
  11.           message pointer will be incremented to the next message in the
  12.           area. It will be displayed to you and the prompt line will once
  13.           again be shown to you.
  14.  
  15.     Prev- Attempt to go to the previous message in the area. If possible, the
  16.           message pointer will be decremented to the message preceding the
  17.           one that you just read.
  18.  
  19.        #- Jump to message number. Don't actually type a number sign (#), just
  20.           type the number of the message you want to go to. If possible, the
  21.           message pointer will be set to that value.

  23.    Reply- This will allow you to enter a reply message to the message that you
  24.           are currently reading. For more information on entering messages,
  25.           please see the next help file.

  27.    All  - This will cause EchoDor to start sending you each message without
  28.           pausing.  You can use this function if you wish to "capture" the
  29.           messages for reading offline.  If you wish to stop the sending
  30.           press ANY key and EchoDor will stop at the end of the current
  31.           message.

  33.     Quit- Quit to message menu. This will bring you back to the main menu of
  34.           the message system.

  36.     Kill- If the current message is either to or from you, then you will be
  37.           presented with the kill option. The kill option will physically
  38.           erase the message from disk. It will be no longer readable and
  39.           CANNOT BE UN-KILLED.

  41.     Save- This command will capture the current message to a file called
  42.           USERMAIL.TXT you may download this file from the files area of
  43.           the bbs.  You may also download a file called USERMAIL.ZIP. They
  44.           contain the same messages, but the ZIP file is much smaller.  You
  45.           will need a UnArcing utility to access the messages in this file.

  47.     Edit- If the current message is either to or from you, then you will also
  48.           be presented with this option. It will allow you to change the content
  49.           of the current message.
